Felecia Francesca

Height: 16.0 hands, Colour: Chestnut, Breed: Westfalen Mare, Year born: 2004

This coming 6-year-old, 16h, Westfalian chestnut mare with lots of chrome is by the Westfalian State Stud stallion Fuerst Picollo; out of a mother by the Hanoverian stallion Maraschino. Fuerst Picollo has current successes in PSG and has lots of successful offspring that are easy to train and have lots of dressage potential.

Francesca is a very pretty and happy mare with an extremely positive attitude. She is curious, calm, safe, easy to train, willing and forward thinking. All three basic gaits are exceptional: floating, ground covering trot, canter with lots of suspension and elasticity, as well as a rhythmic and active walk. She is easy to collect with good lateral movements: shoulder in and half passes in trot, and has started half passes in canter. Counter canter, walk half pirouettes, simple changes, and starting flying changes in both directions. Very powerful extended movements! Definitely a future FEI Horse with an abundance of talent! She won first level shows last year, has confirmed movements 'FEI 5-year-old' tests, training 'FEI 6-year-old' now. She is great on the trails, easy to handle and doesn't have any vices. A true sweetheart with lots of potential! She is best suited for a serious competitive amateur, professional or a Junior/Young Rider, who has already done 2nd level or higher and wants to have an up and coming show horse for the upper levels.

Francesca is also a proven broodmare, and entered into the Hanoverian studbook with highest scores. She has produced a striking filly out of the Hanoverian State Stud stallion Dancier. She gives her beautiful type, positive, calm attitude and exceptional gaits on to her progeny. This is an over all outstanding mare!

About the Stallion:
Fuerst Piccolo is a one of the most desired stallions at the Northrhine-Westfalen State Stud. He had everybody talking about his offspring at many shows and auctions over the past seasons. The Fidermark son has produced top foals for various auctions and set a new record for the top selling foal. The winner of the German foal Championship was a Fuerst Piccolo daughter. His older offspring are also on top. Fuerst Piccolo daughters regularly march into one of the final placing at the Elite Mare shows. Also, at many of the mare tests, Fuerst Piccolo daughters finish on top. Due to the success of his offspring and his own show success, the FN commission values this stallion’s overall ranking in breeding at 144 points. With this score, Fuerst Piccolo belongs among the best of Dressage producers in Germany. He has positioned himself well in this scene by already producing 7 approved stallions and 19 state’s premium mares. Fuerst Piccolo was a premium stallion at his approval and easily won his Stallion Performance Test a year later with 136.98 points. He clearly dominated the dressage index with 141.73 points.

About the sire of the foal, Dancier's Dream:
Dancier, authoritative winner of his performance test and stallion licensing, was also proclaimed Best Hanoverian Stallion of 2002. A son of the top class dressage progenitor, De Niro, this noble, attractive black stallion appears on the way to his own excellence as a sire. Damsire Lancier is by the venerable Laurie's Crusador xx, Hanoverian Stallion of the Year 2006, a rare honour for a Thoroughbred stallion. Dancier was awarded the perfect score of 10 for his walk, 9.5 for his canter and 9.2 for his walk. As a four year old he placed third in the Bundeschampionate. He is noted for his exceptional temperament and good ability to work from behind.
